Pourquoi tales How did the giraffe get his long neck.

How did the giraffe get his long neck.

One day there was a giraffe with the most beautiful dots in the world  he loved everything about him especially his short and shiney neck. Life was good for him but sometimes he had  problems. He couldn't eat very much because most things grew on trees and his most favorite fruit was red, crunchy apples but those grew on trees too.

The next  day he decided to wake up early and  for a walk. While he was walking he thought to himself “I wonder what it would be like to have a longer neck”He carried on walking when suddenly he heard the sound of breaking branches he turned his head sharply trying to find the source of the commotion. He couldn't see anything or anyone so he bravely  tramped in the in the direction that he heard the sound .

As he was walking he heard the sound again he walked faster and faster and soon his walk turned in to  a sprint he tripped on a rock and fell on his four knees and his head hit  the hard, compact ground. He became unconscious for some hours. As his vision cleared he noticed  his head wedged between two rock’s he tried to wriggle his head out of the two rocks but the more he wriggled the more it got tight he gave up after afew minutes and tried yelling out for help. Luckily there was a herd of enormous african elephants nearby they walked over and saw him in pickled position. They all wrapped there trunks around his body and pulled and pulled and eventually his head slipped out from between the rocks, he stood up,and  for a second he thought he was a bird but looked down and saw his feet,he freaked out but then thought to himself my wish came true. And so from that day on he ate 50 apples a day.

And that's how the giraffe go his long neck

And this year I got to go on this camp along with the year eights of 2018.

I was most excited about the activities that we would do, there was  archery, air rifles, paintballing and much more.

But one of my favorite activities was the go cart.
As I waited in line for what felt like all day it was finally my turn I put a helmet on and got in and started  driving,
It felt like I was going  100 miles per hour as I flew past the cones mud flicked from the front tyres on to my face now my vision went blurry.

I had just pass the start line and I could barely see were I was going
I drifted  around a sharp corner  and swerved around a cone finally
But sadly my turn was over.

Speech reflection

Last week I said my speech to my class. Today I will be shearing my reflection my speech.

Have you ever left your phone at your house and you are waiting for an important message .
Well that was me last year .
Teachers say that phones are bad for you education, and destruct you when you are at  school. But  sometimes students don't  use there phones to do anything bad.

. Here are some reasons why phones should be aloud at school.  what happens if there is an emergency and your parents are trying to call you. Also Students take more than one subject in a day, and they have" heaps of assignments which they have to finish on time. So it is very important for these students to use cell phones as reminding gadgets. And If you are waiting for an important email and your phone is at home like me`  then how can you check it.
Teachers say that your parents should always know where you are, and if your cell phone is at home you can’t call and tell your parents where you are going or where   to pick you up as well. So that is my opinion on why should cell phones should be allowed at schools.

The three main states of matter are solid, liquid and gas. The atoms in a solid are tightly stuck together. A car and a hammer are both examples of solids. The atoms in a liquid take the shape of it’s container and are loose but still together. Water is a liquid. The atoms in a gas move around freely and in different directions. Helium, oxygen and nitrogen are all gases. There is also gas inside a hot air balloon.

CAMP KAWAU !!!!!!!!

Last week on Tuesday the 15th of November 2016 I arrived at sandspit.
We had to go on a bus to get to sandspit   Then we had to go on a ferry to get to Kawau Island. When I was on the ferry I was excited.

My favourite activity was bivouac building. You have to build a hut using sticks in the surroundings. There were these two trees falling down and I made a bed inside the bivouac. My dad tipped a bottle of water over our hut and water spilled in and the hut fell down.

When we went kayaking we didn’t go to Stingray Bay because the water was rough. We got to go bombing off the pontoon.

Hiwi the Kiwi gave me some tip's on fishing

One day on a hot and sunny afternoon I went fishing with my parents at Mission bay. First we had to catch some bait.We caught about 4 mullet’s. So me and my dad chopped it into little pieces. So then we put  the fish on the hook and then we chucked the line in the water hoping that something  will take my bait.In a FEW  SECOND’S something pulled my line I couldn’t believe my eyes it was a great white snapper. It was humongous.
